So the sun is not too far from us, and it is not too far from the cloud. There is still a funnel-shaped angle from the cleft of the clouds.
Qualitatively, this experiment shows that the sun is not at a distance of 93 million miles from us.

Honest question, how do you explain day and night, as well as how sunrise and sunset appear?
Honest observation, if you had the cardboard slots far away from the light, but had the camera at ground level very close to the cardboard slots, then you would see a similar divergent pattern of the light beams while the light source is very far away.
Obviously light refraction and swamp gas….
