Sunsets and sunrises

If the earth were to be flat, then how would sunsets and sunrises work? Using the flat earth map that all flat earthers seen to agree on where the sun and moon orbit above the “flat earth” the sun won’t rise or set, if the earth were flat there couldn’t be any sun rises, the sun would just start appearing in the sky slowly growing hen when it’s sunset the sun would just start shrinking in the sky until it’s out of sight.
