Stars on a flat earth

I’m not a flat earther but I’m curious how the stars could be explained on a flat earth. How could someone above the equator and someone below the equator see two different night skies? Meanwhile two people in the southern hemisphere can see the same exact set of stars as each other, even if they’re both looking south which would be in opposite directions on a flat earth
