What’s the difference between this argument and the argument that the only reason you can see Chicago from across the lake is because of light refraction? I feel like both sides are using the same thing to argue, gets confusing

Edit: how is this downvoted 😂 I see this video saying it appears to disappear because there’s a reflection and I also see a picture that can see farther than should be possible over the curve, but then people say the curve is reflecting an identical image. I’m genuinely asking here
