Moon’s Orbit Doesn’t Make Sense

The moon orbits the earth at a speed of 2,088 mph while the earth is orbiting the sun at a speed of 66,600 mph. A moon completes a cycle through it’s phases over a period of 29.5 days. So each month, at some point, the moon will be directly in front of the earth on it’s orbital path. With the earth heading straight for the moon at 66,600 mph, and the moon being held in the place by gravity (a pulling force), how do the two bodies not collide? https://preview.redd.it/jswn9qxpxoh91.png?width=2667&format=png&auto=webp&s=1939b6fd1911c6f8ae15a861318b2b73a4886cfb
