I’m new here

I have a few questions if someone doesn’t mind filling me in, I’m dabbled in simulation theory, hollow moon theory, and obviously have heard about the flat earth thing but my big question is why? What does majority think over here at r/globeskepticism think the main reason would be for faking space and possibly the shape of the world we live on? Genuinely curious because my main thought would be some sort of higher power controlling humans on earth for reasons unknown. I’d love to hear from some of you guys 🙂
